Abstract

The 21st century has witnessed a significant shift in the global health landscape, with chronic diseases emerging as leading causes of morbidity and mortality. These diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, and cancer, not only impose heavy burdens on individuals but also strain healthcare systems and economies worldwide. As the world faces an aging population and lifestyle changes, addressing chronic diseases has become a critical focus for public health initiatives. This qualitative literature study aims to explore the future of public health in combating chronic diseases, examining the evolving strategies, challenges, and opportunities in disease prevention and management. Through an in-depth review of existing research, this study highlights the role of lifestyle modifications, early detection, public health policies, and healthcare innovations in mitigating the impact of chronic diseases. The findings emphasize the need for integrated, multidisciplinary approaches to chronic disease management, incorporating prevention, education, and policy changes. In conclusion, the future of public health hinges on proactive measures, collaborative efforts, and innovative solutions to reduce the prevalence of chronic diseases and enhance global health outcomes.
